30 Before 30--halfway mark!!

SO, since tomorrow is my half birthday, I figured it would be a good time to check in on my 30 before 30 goals! It's been 6 months and I only have 6 to go!! AH! I'm a crazy procrastinator so I ALWAYS put things off til the last minute...with only 6 months to go it's getting to be crunch time!! 

  1. Get to goal!! (I'm not entirely sure what that number is but I know for sure I want it to be 149, maybe less)--not quite here yet but I'm at 150.6 so I'm getting close!
  2. Start a blog
  3. 2 pack abs (just a little definition, I'll probably NEVER have a 6 pack, and that's OK!! But definition? It IS possible!)
  4. Take a trampoline fitness class
  5. Boudoir photo shoot
  6. 3 half marathons
  7. Learn to do a head stand
  8. Take a hot yoga class
  9. 5k in under 30 minutes
  10. Pole fitness class
  11. Buy a car
  12. Save $5000--getting there!
  13. Work for Weight Watchers
  14. 365 days of meditation-at least 5 minutes.
  15. 1 month without the scale (I'll weigh in weekly but ask them not to tell me)
  16. Wear something backless
  17. Get a proper bra fitting 
  18. 5 minute wall sit
  19. 25 pushups without a break
  20. 5 pull ups 
  21. 25 minute 5K
  22. Rock climb (or rock climbing wall)
  23. 5 minute plank
  24. 50 sit ups
  25. At least 1 blog a day every day
  26. Buy new pots and pans
  27. Buy new dishes
  28. Paint something pretty (not like a bookshelf, but an actual piece of art) 
  29. Start learning sign language
  30. Spend a day at the spa (not the spa I work at, although I LOVE it there I want to have a day away from reality! I've never had a "spa day")'ve achieved some pretty awesome things in the last 6 months but I've definitely got some work to do!! I can, and I will continue to chip away at this list. First thing I've got to do is print it and look at it every day so I'm reminded that I have goals I want to accomplish! It's easy to forget when it's not there in my face reminding me!!!

Falling In Love Again

At Weight Watchers this week we were talking about being kind to yourself. I was asked when it was I decided to stop beating beating myself up and I started to cry the moment I said “it all started with a bikini”.

I instantly felt my face flush as I realized I wasn’t going to be able to keep talking without tears rolling down my cheeks and I paused for a moment to look around the room. Was what I was about to do career suicide? What would my boss think if she walked into the meeting room and witnessed the leader having an emotional breakdown? 
My job as a leader is to facilitate a conversation among members, to create an environment where each and every person who walks through the door feels safe and supported and to ensure that each week members leave feeling like they got a figurative hug with a side of science.
